Georgie Update 7th April 2008
Georgie has had an up and down couple of weeks. She has gone from the warm weather and swimming in the river Dee, back to the cold - running in the snow but suffering afterwards.
She went for a check up at the hospital and another Acupuncture session from them. They agree that she is a changed dog compared to how bad she was last November when she had bald patches in her coat and was generally feeling miserable!
The cold does really impact on her though - although their is no scientific evidence to link Arthritis with the cold, most people agree that there is a link. She seizes up and does not walk as smoothly in the cold.
But the good news is that she is progressing - the medication is being reduced and the acupuncture is now every 2 weeks - not weekly. So gradually things are improving - but it is a long process and the hip replacement remains an inevitable option in the coming couple of years....
