As Georgie came from Cheshire’s Dog home as a puppy it was only right that we attended the official opening of the new maternity and puppy wing at the dogs home on Sunday.
It was a lovely sunny day and hundreds of people turned up with their dogs to support the dogs home. Georgie, Che and Isobel had a great time saying hello to lots of other dogs and enjoyed all the other dog lovers making a fuss of them – especially Isobel.
There was a fun dog show with 4 classes – The saddest eyes, the best trick, the best dressed and the waggiest tail. Anyone who knows Georgie knows that despite all of her medical problems her tail never stops wagging so of course we had to enter her for this class. She did us proud and came fourth out of nearly 40 dogs – although of course we think she should have come first! She received a certificate and a rosette and a goody bag.
They were very tired dogs after a lovely day out. And each weekend Georgie has her Hydrotherapy which does wonders for her legs - as well as being the most exciting day of her week! Georgie adores the pool and would stay in it all day if she could!
Thursday of this week is Georgie’s hospital appointment when we will find out whether she is going to have her first hip replaced. Check here for updates on how the appointment goes.
