Georgie Update 18th February 2008
Another good week for Georgie and her pals. Since last November, when she was at an extreme low, she has changed so much due to:
- A Change in medication - stronger medication to help with the pain
- The Acupuncture
- Knowing that heat helps her we can use heat pads on her
As I said to the Vet last week, she is almost like a new dog! She has renewed energy and with the summer just around the corner (and hopefully some better weather) we are now confident that the hip operation can be postponed until 2009.
Yesterday she had the pleasure of meeting with my Niece and Nephews - something she always enjoys as they give her lots of attention. As you can see from the pictures, it was a crisp winters day and Georgie, along with Che and Isobel, had a wonderful day!
We had some huge dogs staying with us last week, Burmese mountain dogs. They were monsters in size, but big gentle giants at heart. Georgie really liked them. Then at the weekend we had an old dog come to stay who was blind and confused at his new surroundings (for one night whilst their owners were having a party) but Georgie is so good natured that she took to mothering little Mutley despite the fact he is nearly 5 times her age!!!
